Advanced Coaching Pathway: Coaching for Meaning, Purpose and Direction
For coaches who want to work more deeply with clients around meaning, purpose, identity and direction. This pathway supports you to help people not only achieve goals, but connect with what truly matters to them.
Drawing on established approaches from transpersonal coaching, you will learn how to help clients access deeper meaning, energy, clarity and commitment. This is particularly valuable at moments of transition, renewal or personal growth.
This pathway supports you to bring greater depth, presence and confidence to conversations that can change how people see themselves, their work and their future. It is one of TPC Coaching Academy's Advanced Coaching Pathways, designed for coaches who have completed a practitioner-level programme. The Coach Practitioner programme includes an introduction to transpersonal approaches in Module 3. This pathway develops that into a specialist capability.
What the pathway covers
Over two days you develop practical approaches for working with meaning, purpose and identity in coaching, drawing on transpersonal frameworks and the applied experience of coaches who work at this depth.
-
Working with meaning, purpose, identity and motivation
Learn practical approaches for helping clients explore what gives their work and life meaning, what their deeper motivations are, and how identity shapes the choices they make.
-
Helping clients gain a clearer sense of direction
Develop techniques for helping clients reconnect with what matters most to them and gain a clearer, more grounded sense of where they want to go. Learn how to hold productive ambiguity without rushing to resolution, and how to help clients find direction from the inside rather than from external pressure.
-
Supporting clients to access deeper meaning, energy and creativity
Learn tools for supporting clients to access deeper sources of meaning, energy, creativity and commitment through purpose-led reflection. Understand how this translates into clearer thinking, stronger motivation and more purposeful action.
-
Holding deeper conversations with confidence and presence
Develop the ability to hold deeper coaching conversations with genuine confidence, psychological sensitivity and full presence. Learn how to stay grounded when conversations move into more personal territory, and how to create the conditions in which clients feel safe enough to think and speak at a level they rarely reach elsewhere.
-
Exploring values, fulfilment, contribution and life purpose
Learn ways to help clients explore personal values, what fulfilment means to them, how they want to contribute, and what gives their work its deepest sense of purpose. Develop approaches that are practical and grounded, not abstract or philosophical, so clients leave sessions with genuine clarity and momentum.
-
Integrating transpersonal approaches into your practice
Learn how to integrate transpersonal and meaning-led approaches into your existing coaching practice in a grounded and practical way. Understand where these approaches fit within the broader competency framework and how to use them with skill and integrity alongside other coaching methods.
You will leave with
