Fundamentals of Coaching is a standalone course which also counts as Module 1 of Coach Practitioner. About the programme
The Coach Practitioner is TPC Coaching Academy's signature coaching qualification. It develops the knowledge, skills, and reflective practice you need to work as a confident, competent coach, and leads to a credential recognised by both the ICF and EMCC.
The programme is delivered entirely online across four modules and nine workshop days, with virtual group supervision after each module. It is designed to fit alongside existing work and professional commitments.
All sessions are facilitated by our expert coaching faculty, practitioners with decades of applied coaching experience across organisations, leadership development, and professional practice.
The four modules
The programme builds progressively across four modules. Each one develops a distinct dimension of coaching competence.
The foundation of coaching practice. Over three days you will develop a clear understanding of how coaching works, the psychological principles that underpin it, and the core models that professional coaches use. EMCC EQA Foundation accredited.

Creating Insights
Building on the foundation, this two-day module focuses on cultivating self-awareness as a coach and the concept of emotional intelligence. You will explore methods to align your inner and outer worlds and employ models for personal and behavioural change.

Applied Positive Psychology in Coaching
This module introduces tools, concepts, and approaches from positive psychology. By working with your own strengths and those of your coachees, you will use an appreciative enquiry-based approach to foster deeper awareness and personal change.

Coaching through Ambiguity and Complexity

Programme structure
The programme runs over approximately seven months, delivered entirely online. Each module includes workshop days followed by a virtual group supervision session.

Accreditation
The programme is accredited by both the ICF and the EMCC. Accreditation is optional. If you choose to certify, your choice of body will depend on what you want to do with your coaching qualification and where you intend to practise. See our coaching qualifications guide for a full comparison.

The Coach Practitioner is for anyone who wants to develop their coaching to a recognised professional standard. It suits those for whom coaching is part of a broader role and those for whom it is their primary focus. No prior coaching experience is required to start at Module 1.
